About Rate Cut Radar

Rate Cut Radar is an independent tracker of ABA Medicaid rates and policy changes, run by a practicing Board Certified Behavior Analyst.

In 2025-26, ABA funding started changing faster than anyone could keep up with. New York cut technician therapy in half in a single year. Indiana added a lifetime hour cap. Vermont banned concurrent billing. Georgia's largest managed-care plan cut 20% overnight. The details are spread across PDFs, provider bulletins and Excel files on fifty different state websites, published on fifty different schedules.

I'm a BCBA. I read these bulletins anyway, because they decide whether my clients keep their hours and my colleagues keep their jobs. Rate Cut Radar puts them in one place, in plain English, for clinic owners, clinical directors, BCBAs, RBTs and families.

How we verify

  • Verified: official source We read the number or rule ourselves in a state agency, legislature or federal document, and link to it.
  • Reported: news source A named news outlet reported it, but we haven't yet confirmed it in the primary document.
  • Not yet verified We don't have a confirmed figure. We never fill gaps with estimates.

Every rate and change shows the date we last checked it. Rates are Medicaid fee-for-service unless noted; managed-care plans often pay differently, which is why we collect anonymous rate reports.

Independence

Rate Cut Radar may carry clearly labeled sponsorships in the newsletter and on the site. Sponsors never decide what we cover, how we describe a change, or which states appear. We don't sell individual reports or any data that could identify someone who reported a rate.

Corrections & tips

See a wrong number, a missing bulletin, or a change we haven't logged? Send the source document and we'll verify it and credit the fix in the change log. (Contact address goes live at launch.)

Not advice

This site is for information only. It is not legal, billing, or coding advice. Always confirm against the official fee schedule and your payer contracts before billing or making business decisions.
